Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Laundry Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling and processing all laundry items in a timely and efficient manner. The Laundry Worker will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized laundry area and performing other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry items according to specific instructions
- Inspect laundry items for stains or damages and treat them accordingly
- Operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines
- Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and request replenishment as needed
- Ensure that all laundry items are properly labeled and stored in designated areas
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures while handling laundry items
- Perform general cleaning tasks in the laundry area and surrounding areas
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a commercial laundry facility is preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift heavy laundry items
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Basic knowledge of laundry equipment and procedures
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
