Job Advert Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting of material and personnel to and from different destinations, general cleaning of site transporting of rubble/waste to land fill site in a safe matter with a clean roadworthy vehicle.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate).
• 2 years’ operating experience in driving heavy vehicles.
• Code EC driver’s license and the ability to pass Rand Waters K53 driving test
• Must be in possession of a public drivers’ permit.
• Previous experience of Front end loader operating will be an added advance.
• Physically fit and strong
Primary Duties
• Daily safe operation of extra heavy vehicles.
• Operating of earth moving machinery i.e. Front end loader
• Delivery and collecting of equipment and materials
• Assist with loading and offloading of materials
• Transporting of passengers (employees and school children) when required.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on vehicles and reporting defects to the Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance to all relevant risks and transport legislation, policies and procedures.
Knowledge

• Knowledge of heavy haulage and loads transportation
• Driving of different vehicles and school bus
• General safety conscious and knowledge of site procedure
• Knowledge on mounted crane operations
