Job Description

Purpose: To drive and grow digital sales and the e-commerce strategy for KWV, both internal and external. To  establish and manage this direct channel in order to leverage multipurpose e-commerce offerings and drive on-line sales of all the KWV brands.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant B Degree in Marketing/Economics or a business-related discipline is non-negotiable
  • At least 5 years’ experience in maintaining & operationalizing an e-commerce website
  • At least 5 years’ experience using Web CMS systems such as Magento / WooCommerce
  • At least 3 years’ proven experience in managing cost and marketing spend
  •   Experience in creating, sending and measuring EDM communications
  •  Experience in analysing web and sales analytics
  • At least 3 years’ experience developing online content, merchandising and marketing strategies
  • Ability to analyse and identify gaps and opportunities
  •  Ability to identify issues with website & prioritise required changes with other stakeholders
  •  Experience in a sales environment would be advantageous
  • Advanced IT literacy

Job Summary:

  • Provide expertise on current e-commerce industry best practices.
  •  Consult on cross-functional projects to ensure e-commerce principles are incorporated.
  • Identify new areas of e-commerce by providing a view on potential improvements for products or services and an assessment of the existing situation and anticipated changes in the external environment.
  •   Generate and implement new initiatives to increase e-commerce sales and profitability.
  •  Development of marketing mix models to analyse and simulate the incremental impact of marketing.
  •  Conceptualize and deploy design of experiments to measure interaction effects of various e-commerce channels.
  •  Ability to negotiate and shape a proposition including understanding pricing and risk.
  • Work in conjunction with the identified Role players to ensure cross-channel alignment and consolidation.
  • To sell KWV products to assigned established and prospective e-commerce customers. This includes the effective service of accounts by designing and negotiating sales and promotional programs in conjunction with the overall sales and marketing plan.
  •  To work with our Key Account Division in developing e-commerce business by implementing marketing strategies and unique customer programs.
  •  Call on established and prospective customers for gaining new sales, both existing products used and new additional products.
  •  Seek out and deliver marketing insights that will enhance how KWV connects with our customers through e-commerce channels.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing colleagues and other departments to develop the performance of the company’s e-commerce initiatives.
  • Plan, develop and execute programs in partnership with the customer-marketing department from the initial concept to the final rollout.
