POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose

The main responsibilities of the OTR Operations Manager are to improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the divisional and company mission. Overall ensuring the successful operational management of the OTR business, planning requirements and Principle relations.

Main responsibilities

Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of support services through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.

  • Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
  • Develop long term customer and staff strategies (organisational planning).
  • Reduce cost and increase efficiency, revenue, profit, and footprint.
  • Optimization of stock planning.
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities and threats from opposition and Dealer channel risk
  • Ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation, and new contract negotiations.
  • Support in growing product/ solutions sustainability, profitability and attractiveness in the market, and motivate staff to achieve this same goal.
  • Management of conflict and change, particularly in respect of the relationship between dealers and end users.
  • Establishing and managing of ongoing operational plans aimed at increased turnover and productivity by SKU.
  • Monitoring of competitor activities, including pricing, marketing and structural matters, and initiation of appropriate responses
  • Creation and maintenance of the divisional budget.
  • Oversee short and long term departmental financial and management reporting.
  • Maintenance of a productive and open relationship with Principles.
  • Managing of the interactions and organizational dynamics between all stakeholders.
  • Overall responsibility for customer delight in the brand, including, as the need arises, the resolution of customer complaints

Required capabilities:

  • Experience and reasonable technical mastery in operations
  • Planning, Leading and Organising skills
  • Communication skills and willingness to interact with shop floor staff
  • A desire to be in a lead role
  • Be a self-starter
  • Must demonstrate knowledge/experience working with Excel
  • Sound Interpersonal Skills and ability to work under pressure

Education

  • Minimum Degree in Operations Management, Business Management

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years operational management experience
