Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has exciting opportunities in our Supply Chain department. We are looking for talented individuals with relevant skills and experience for Quality Specialist – Environment and Centralised Services role, which is based in the above mentioned area. The successful candidates will report directly to the Country Quality Assurance Manager.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Key Outputs and Accountabilities Environmental • Development of Environmental Standards for CCSBA • Provide technical leadership for Environmental Management within CCBSA and ensures compliance to CCBA and TCCC quality requirements and standards • Lead Environmental Aspects and Impacts assessments for the business to achieve environmental goals and to ensure sustainable environmental performance • Ensure compliance to Environmental Legal Requirements in CCBSA, i.e. for air quality, hazardous waste, clean water, and pollution prevention • Develop Environmental Management Capability for CCBSA • Conduct external audits for waste management for CCBSA • Manage Environmental Legal Register for CCBSA • Manage visits from Government Bodies, i.e. Green Scorpions Cleaning, Canteen and Waste Service • To manage the external service contracts for cleaning, canteen and waste • Optimise effectiveness of services provided whilst reducing cost for CCBSA • Ensure compliance to standards and contracts for all CCBSA • Ensure effective rebate systems are implemented for CCBSA • Conduct regular Canteen and Cleaning Audits • Work with procurement in scoping up contracts and going to market at the time of contract renewal. • Project / change manage the implementation of new service providers and systems

Skills, Experience & Education

Qualifications and Experience Qualifications A bachelor’s degree or equivalent Work Experience 3-5 years’ experience in the Food Manufacturing environment Experience in implementation and maintenance of ISO 14000 Experience in Management of Waste and Cleaning contracts Technical Knowledge Clear understanding of Environmental Laws and Regulations Clear understanding of Food Safety and Hygiene Standards Competencies Knowledge • Computer Literacy • ISO 14000 auditing experience and system knowledge • Advantageous: ISO 9000 or HACCP or FSSC/ISO 22000 system knowledge • Capability Building Skills • Excellent written & verbal communication skills. • Strategic Change Management • Strategy and Vision • Planning and Organising • Project Management • Conflict resolution • Grow and develop People • Business acumen • Problem Solving • Financial Budget Controlling Attributes/Attitudes • Strong inter-personal skills • Ability to manage self • Ability to interact and influence at management levels • Tenacity, initiative, a concern for detail and accuracy and analytical ability • Strong team participation, the need to develop others and being persuasive • Ability to interact and engage at all levels • Decisiveness and Risk Judgement
