About the Role

The Restaurant Growth Manager is a unique opportunity to have a high influence on the Uber Eats Sub-Sahara Africa Strategy.

This is a critical role, which will be responsible for the growth of our restaurant partners business, their eater base and orders across RSA through resto co-marketing efforts. Together with our restaurant partners and internal account managers, you will be responsible for developing and executing on strategies to ensure Uber Eats hits our growth goals. At the same time you will be responsible for incubating new initiatives with the goal of continuing to experiment and improve the value of every customer. This includes design, management, activation and experimentation with growth drivers for key Restaurant Partners.

As Uber Eats continues to grow in size, reach, and complexity, so too will the strategy and solutions needed to support the business. In this role, you’ll be working closely with colleagues across Operations, Restaurants, Marketing, and CommOps to bring your ideas to life.

The biggest project for this role in 2019 will be scaling our restaurant partners, cities and zones outside of the core South African cities, where we see significant upside in terms of user acquisition and order growth.

What You’ll Do

  • * _Analytics - Deeply understand the restaurant and customer experience for Uber Eats users and drive improvements through data-driven analytics and creative problem solving_
    • Strategy – Develop and execute restaurant and customer growth strategy to drive growth and value
    • Project Management – Own and drive projects related to customer experience, safety, compliance and quality
    • Stakeholder Management – Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. Important stakeholders for Eater Operations are marketing, sales, strategy, global product among others.
    • Be an owner – Take ownership of Uber Eats’ growth in South Africa and do everything you can to support and enhance the quality of our relationship and services with the restaurant partners; We expect you to be proactive and resourceful in order to remove road blockers and find creative solutions
    • Measures of success: improving retention curves (by cohort and over time), achieve topline trips / GB, meet budgeted spend per trip
